Restore the packaging cell
Build a restoration sequence with verified projects and operational acceptance gates.

Independent guided exercise using synthetic evidence. No live industrial systems are connected.
Your scenario
A simulated engineering workstation has been rebuilt after an incident. The cell needs controlled restoration.
Evidence to examine
PLC project: approved copy with recorded hash HMI project: last approved release Network configuration: available Restore test: not yet performed Process acceptance: operations owner required
Your investigation tasks
- Define integrity checks and required compatibility evidence.
- Order workstation, configuration, and application restoration activities.
- Write acceptance and rollback criteria before resuming production.
Debrief
Review the reasoning after completing the tasks
Verify provenance and integrity, versions and dependencies, restore into an isolated test environment where feasible, and confirm communications and process behavior. Hashes support integrity checking but do not prove a backup was clean. Operations must validate readiness.
Take it back to the process
Separate observed facts from assumptions. Explain the operational consequence of your decision, name the evidence still needed, and identify who must approve or validate a real-world change.
